Mette can say a few phrases yet and after you've spoken to someone, she says: that is... that is...
and then you're supposed to say who you sere talking to.
Then she remembers it forever. For example, the camel dressed like an arab is always "eelco's camel".
The latest she says is: we're going to... we're going to... New Zealand. Aaaaaah, is that a question or a statement? Either way, it's true!
What to do if you're off for almost half a year to Australia and New Zealand, even having to vacate your home? Well laurian is darn good at it. Renegotiated moving and storage, booked tickets and camper vans, bought childrens sleepers, packed and Mette was sick on and off at the same time.
It's going to be christmas, we're moving into friends', the seckeltjes', appartment and will leave on sunday night to celebrate new years in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Allard is now 3.5 months and is finally gaining weight after being in the bottom 3% weight wise but above average in length. Mette is Toms best friend. they watch bolke de beer, maja de bij (grotebij) en littell peepell (she pronounces it the same as our helper) but also mette orders everyone in the house to draw a snake, again bolke de beer, elmo - laurian's good at elmo -, snuffy and barbapapa followed by barbamama, barbadaddy, barba-allard, barba-aunty and barbagiselle (her friend that she sees once a month). She herself can draw the eyes of mijntje/miffy although in real life he would have had mixomatosis for sure and barbapa kind-a-looks like one, but then barbapapa can take any shape.
This weblog is intended for the grandparents (and aunts and uncles), who miss their grandchildren and children a bit, for them who get mentioned, because then it's more fun and for them who don't get mentioned but like New Zealand, Australia or those who these stories are about.
